Dr. Doom believed he had finally found a way to defeat his most defiant of enemies: the Fantastic Four. He had developed an airborne pathogen that would cause the mass production of adipose tissue within the bodies of those who caught it. Simply put: it made them become morbidly obese.
An unintended side effect of the pathogen was that it also caused men to turn into women in the process. This was of no matter to Doom though, for he liked his women big boned anyway. With the world's population transformed into obese women, nobody would be able to stop Doom from conquering it.
The test subjects for this pathogen would be the Fantastic Four. If it could stop them, he reasoned, then the rest of the world would be no problem.
After capturing the first family of comics, Doom exposed them to his pathogen. Within minutes, the four heroes began to transform into obese women. Very ANGRY obese women.
As a final test, Doom entered the test chamber to fight them himself. To his horror, he discovered that the transformation had failed to hinder the fighting ability of the Fantastic Four. Rather than being lazy and lethargic, his opponents fought with an enhanced energy and aggression unlike anything the genius dictator had faced before. The resulting battle not only led to Doom's defeat, but the discovery of an antidote for his Pathogen as well.
The Fantastic Four had hoped to arrest the armoured madman, but the Doom they had fought turned out to be nothing more than another one of his many Doombots. They had not yet seen the last of Victor von Doom!
