Meg Griffin had always taken more after her father genetically. Whereas Lois was busty, shapely, and beautiful, Meg remained plain figured, plain faced, and plain ignorable.
That, however, was before Stewie's latest invention: a machine designed to change a target's genetic balance. He intended to use it at some point to see if he could remove the fat one's genetic traits from himself, but after seeing how dramatic the effects were on his guinea pig (Meg), he worried that the changes to himself might somehow affect his intelligence.
When the machine extracted the genetics of Peter and forced Meg's body to rebalance using the genetic model of Lois, it'd apparently resulted in the DOUBLING of her mother's genetics and turned the lumpish girl with little personality or self confidence into a stunningly gorgeous woman who pretty much ran the household.
Furthermore, having been transformed into a clearly superior version of her mother in every way, Meg quickly realized that both Brian and Quagmire had also shifted their romantic intentions towards her.
