Cia was growing increasingly tired of Princess Zelda's forces standing between her and her precious Link.
Perhaps the most irritating of all the pests was the princess' loyal bodyguard Impa. The soldier had already cut through thousands of Cia's monster army and showed no signs of slowing down any time soon. Cia decided that she would need to be taken care of before anything else.
Being the former observer of time, Cia knew that (just like Link and Zelda) Impa had many past incarnations as well. Using her darkest magic, Cia found the warrior woman on the battlefield and decided to transform her into one of her slightly less mobile past lives.
